Self-regulating heat trace cable is a parallel cable with semi-conductive matrix that changes its resistance in response to the temperature it is exposed to. This effect allows the cable to increase its output with decreasing temperature and decrease its output with increasing temperature. This feature makes it safe to use in hazardous areas.
